Bobby Fischer’s Best Games
This book is a modern, thoughtful exploration of Fischer’s chess – respectful, honest, and deeply instructive.
My previous works had all stemmed from my own personal book ideas, so I was surprised when New In Chess asked me to write a book on Bobby Fischer’s best games.
I’ve never been a rabid Fischer fan as I can’t quite put aside his personality deficiencies. But upon reflection, it seemed like something of a natural fit.
The timing and manner in which my chess career began leaves a sense of connection to Fischer (as I will explore in my introduction), leaving me to believe this to
be a wholly appropriate project for me.
