The Modernized Reti Our present book aims at providing you with a complete Reti repertoire for White. The only variations I haven’t covered in detail are those few which transpose quickly into other main lines that are not related to the Reti, such as the Maroczy or the King’s Indian (although I have offered an alternative). Of course, I have explained these different transpositions and suggested different types of set-up for you to choose from. When I felt it was needed, I analyzed thoroughly, explaining all the main plans in detail.

Adrien Demuth

The Reti opening has been most popular in the most recent years. In his ‘Modernized Reti’, Adrien shows how this refined opening needs to be handled. Adrien Demuth, currently rated 2543, is a grandmaster belonging to the youngest French chess generation. He was born and raised in La Reunion and learned chess when he was seven in Tahiti. He is now 26 years old. Once back in France, he was frequently selected for the French Youth Team.

Grandmaster

He received his two titles (IM in 2011, and GM in 2015) during his studies and when achieving his degree of Master in Mathematics. He is now a chess professional, trainer, player and author. In 2016 he was one of the seconds of the Olympic French team in Baku and during the World Youth Championships as well.

His most famous results we noted his win of the Paris Championships in 2013 and last year by beating the former World Champion V. Anand in Gibraltar in 2016. This is his first book and Thinkers Publishing is proud to present his modernized ‘Reti’ ideas and analysis.
