tournaments.
Boris Abramovitch Guelfand, born in Minsk, Belarus, on June 24, 1968, is an Israeli chess player who
emigrated to Israel in 1998. He currently resides in the locality of Rishon LeZion. Gélfand was until
1990 one of the world’s highest-profile chess players.
Grandmaster Jacob Aagaard won the British Chess Championship at his first and only attempt.
